A runaway trolley is speeding through the rail tracks. On the tracks are five passengers who can’t get around. A lever lies near you. If you pull that lever the trolley will switch to a different set of tracks. In the meantime, you will see that there’s an individual in the other track.
See the scenario play out and you’ll see five people get killed. You decide to pull the lever, and one person gets killed – but by the lever you pull.
